Mark Magrane

Mark Magrane has extensive experience in the medical ultrasound industry, currently serving as Manager of Systems Engineering at FUJIFILM SonoSite, Inc. since October 2006, where responsibilities include overseeing the vision and development of handcarried ultrasound technology. Previously, Mark held the position of Senior Manager of Software Engineering at Siemens Medical Solutions from 1992 to May 2006, managing technical efforts and the career development of a team of engineers while focusing on medical ultrasound imaging devices. Prior roles include Staff Systems Engineer at Quantum Medical Systems from 1980 to 1992, developing complex ultrasound imaging systems, and System Architect at General Electric Medical Systems from 1979 to 1986, where Mark was chief architect for the first phased array cardiac system. Mark holds a BS in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from Iowa State University, where studies were completed in 1979.
