Coby Carlson

Coby Carlson has had a diverse work experience in the fields of biopharmaceuticals and biologics. Coby is currently the Director of Innovation and New Technology at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics since August 2019. Prior to this role, they worked at PPD from August 2017 to July 2019 as a Lab Manager, where they supervised and assisted scientists in laboratory operations, focusing on the development, qualification, and validation of cell-based bioassays for potency testing in a cGMP environment.

Before PPD, Coby worked at Cellular Dynamics International from July 2012 to August 2017. During this time, they held two roles: Strategic Marketing Manager from August 2016 to August 2017, and Manager of Application Development from July 2012 to August 2016. In these positions, they played a key role in marketing strategies and managed the development of applications.

From 2006 to 2012, Coby worked at Life Technologies as a Staff Scientist from 2008 to 2012 and as a Scientist from 2006 to 2008. Coby'swork at Life Technologies involved scientific research and development.

Coby began their career as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2003 to 2006. Coby also worked as a Graduate Student at the University of Utah from 1997 to 2002, where they gained foundational knowledge in their field.

Coby Carlson's education history is as follows. Coby obtained their first Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Santa Clara University, which they attended from 1992 to 1994. Coby then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Gonzaga University, completing it from 1994 to 1996. Coby then went on to earn their Ph.D. in Bioorganic Chemistry from the University of Utah, where they studied from 1997 to 2003. Following that, they pursued a Postdoctoral degree in Chemical Biology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison from 2003 to 2006.
