Lucas Chase

Lucas Chase has extensive experience in the field of human induced pluripotent stem cell (hIPSC)-derived therapies, currently serving as Executive Director of Therapeutics R&D at FUJIFILM Cellular Dynamics, Inc. since July 2010, after progressing through various leadership roles including Senior Director and Group Leader. As Executive Director of Research and Development at Opsis Therapeutics since July 2016, Lucas continues to focus on hIPSC-derived cell therapies for retinal diseases. Prior experience includes positions as Senior Scientist at Life Technologies and academic roles at the University of Minnesota, culminating in a Ph.D. in Molecular, Cellular, Developmental Biology, and Genetics. Lucas also holds a B.S. in Biotechnology/Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.
