Malaika Marable Serrano

Malaika Marable Serrano, PhD, serves as the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging at Guild Education since June 2021, where an award-winning DEIB function and strategy were built to enhance business performance for over 1,200 employees. Previously, at WorldStrides from 2017 to June 2021, Malaika held multiple roles including inaugural Enterprise DEI leader and VP for Diversity and Inclusion in the Higher Education Division, guiding comprehensive diversity and inclusion strategies. Experience also includes leadership roles at Semester At Sea, the University of Maryland, the Council of American Overseas Research Centers, NAFSA: Association of International Educators, and the University of Tennessee, where significant contributions were made to diversity in education and program development. Academic credentials include a PhD in the Internationalization of Higher Education from Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, along with various degrees and certifications from notable institutions.
