Alex Brocklehurst

Alex Brocklehurst is currently serving as the Politics Editor at Full Fact since April 2023, leading fact-checking efforts related to political claims. Prior to this role, Alex contributed to various projects at the UK House of Lords from June 2018 to March 2023, including serving as a Restoration and Renewal Adviser and Acting Clerk of Finance and Services Committees. Alex also held several key positions at the UK House of Lords from 2001 to 2015, such as Director of Library Services and Head of Research Services, providing impartial information and research support. Earlier experience includes a role as Manager of Research and Evaluation at the NZ Transport Agency from 2015 to 2018, as well as an Editorial Assistant position at the London School of Economics from 1999 to 2001. Alex holds an MA in History from the University of Cambridge and an MA in European Political Systems/Cultures from Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna.
