Jay Johnston

Jay Johnston has worked in the engineering field for over a decade. In 2008, they began their career as a Mechanical Engineer for MRL Industries and an Equipment Engineer for CKC Engineering. In 2010, they transitioned to Intermolecular as a Systems Engineer. After four years, they joined PROFILE of Santa Cruz as a Member and then Sky Tech International as a Mechatronic Engineer. In 2016, they became a Staff Software Engineer for SolarCity and then a Senior Embedded Software Engineer for Tesla in 2017. In 2019, they became a Strategic Account Manager for SANYO DENKI AMERICA, INC and currently holds the role of Sr. Controls Engineer for Full Speed Automation since 2021.

Jay Johnston attended Santa Clara University from 1996-2000, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
