Hien Kaplan

Co-Founder and Science Fellow at Function of Beauty

Hien Kaplan has an extensive background in the cosmetics industry, with a focus on research and development. They started their career as an R&D Chemist at Mana Products in 2009 before moving on to Cosmetic Laboratories in 2010. At Cosmetic Laboratories, they worked as an R&D Manager and Formulator, overseeing all aspects of product development and collaborating with clients and suppliers. In 2016, Hien joined Zotos International as a Senior Chemist II. Currently, Hien is a Co-Founder and Science Fellow at Function of Beauty, a company they helped establish in 2015. They previously served as the Chief Science Officer at Function of Beauty, where they utilized their expertise to develop personalized hair care products through advanced algorithms and tailored formulas. Hien's work experience showcases their expertise in formulating and creating innovative cosmetic products.
