Rosalina Soares

Research & Evaluation Advisor at Fundação Roberto Marinho

Rosalina Maria Soares has managed the Research and Evaluation Center of the Roberto Marinho Foundation since 2019 and has been working in the same area for 8 years. She is responsible for carrying out diagnoses, identifying vulnerable territories and populations, as well as producing analytical reports on Basic Education, elaboration of Theory of Change, Monitoring, and Evaluation of Educational Solutions.

Rosalina has a Masters in Education, in the research line “Public Policies, Monitoring & Evaluation” and a Degree in Pedagogy from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. She is certified by APMG International: Project Management for Development Professionals (PMD Pro) and the Evaluation Capacity Development Program for Latin America and the Caribbean (IPDET).

She worked as a School Supervisor and Technical Analyst at the Minas Gerais Department of Education, encouraging the use of data from the Minas Gerais Public Education Assessment System - SIMAVE, focusing on learning improvements.

As a researcher at the Educational Assessment and Measures Group-GAME / UFMG, she worked in research related to School Effectiveness. She coordinated the production of reports for pedagogical dissemination of the results of evaluations and the training of technicians from the Department of Education to use the results of Large-Scale Evaluations.

Also at UFMG, she carried out research and training on Social Representations of Rural Teachers and Adult Literacy in the National Program of Education in Agrarian Reform.

She was a Consultant at the Teacher Support Center (NAP – Plug Minas) and Vale Juventudes (Vale Foundation), being responsible for diagnoses and monitoring.
