Marcelo Henrique Alvarenga has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to management systems, sustainability consulting, and quality engineering. Marcelo Henrique started their career at Ultragaz as a Quality Engineer, where they coordinated product audits and worked on management improvement projects. Marcelo Henrique then joined Fundação Vanzolini as a Lead Assessor and Instructor, where they assessed and provided training on quality management systems, environmental management systems, and occupational health and safety. Marcelo Henrique later became a consultant and partner at VHM Consulting and Training Ltd., specializing in consulting and training on management systems. Marcelo also worked as a Consultant at Key Associados, where they coordinated the environmental dimension in consulting projects for sustainability indices and implemented quality management systems. Marcelo Henrique served as a Contract Manager at TÜV Rheinland South America, overseeing a multidisciplinary project portfolio and operations. Currently, Marcelo is working as a Consultant, Lead Assessor, and Instructor at SUSTEMP Corporate Sustainability Consulting.

Marcelo Henrique Alvarenga completed their high school education at Agostiniano Mendel from 1982 to 1984. Marcelo Henrique then pursued a degree in Production Engineering, Mechanical at FEI from 1985 to 1989. In 2000, they obtained an MBA in Environmental Management and Technologies from USP - Universidade de São Paulo. In 2009, they furthered their education with an MBA in Strategic and Economic Management of Projects from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. Marcelo also participated in a Management Development Program (MDP) at TÜV Rheinland Group from 2015 to 2016, focusing on international management and leadership.
