Nerea Vega is a seasoned professional in the fields of bioinformatics, biostatistics, and hematology research. Currently serving as a Consultant Professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya and simultaneously a Postdoctoral Scientist at Fundació Sant Joan de Déu, Nerea Vega has extensive experience in leukemia and non-malignant blood disorders research with a focus on the etiopathogeny and molecular bases of pediatric blood disorders. Additional experience includes a PhD candidacy at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu - Barcelona and various research and clinical internships throughout Nerea Vega's academic career, including work at the Cytogenetic Laboratory, National Institute of Toxicology and Forensic Sciences, and Laboratorios Dr. Echevarne. Nerea Vega holds a Master's degree in Clinical Analysis Laboratory and a Bachelor's degree in Human Biology, Health Sciences from Universitat Pompeu Fabra.
