Brajabandhu Pradhan is a Postdoctoral Scientist at VIB since January 2018, where research focuses on utilizing Cryo-EM to explore the structure of bacterial functional amyloids and identifying a novel class of Bacillus appendages known as Endospore Appendages (Ena) through structure-guided genome mining. Prior to this role, Brajabandhu served as a Junior Researcher at the National Centre for Biological Sciences, performing plasmid construct design and protein purification aimed at studying multidomain protein interactions. Additional experience includes a summer internship at the University of Freiburg, where protein-protein interaction studies of a plant membrane protein were conducted, and an internship at IGIB analyzing the transcriptome of zebrafish embryos. Brajabandhu holds an Integrated MSc in Life Sciences from the National Institute of Science Education and Research, completed in 2017.
