Jordi Vallès Ortega is currently serving as the Research and Innovation Programmes Manager at Fundación "la Caixa" since April 2018. Prior to this role, Jordi worked as an Evaluator at the Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) for the Generalitat de Catalunya and held the position of Chief Scientific Officer at Fenexy Foundation, coordinating the "Proyecto volver a caminar" initiative aimed at helping paralyzed individuals walk again. Jordi also has experience as a Project Manager and Investment Analyst at GENESIS Biomed SLU, where consulting services and project investments were provided. Other notable positions include Knowledge Transfer Officer at Fundació Bosch i Gimpera, collaborator at ASBTEC, PhD Researcher at the IRB Institute for Research in Biomedicine, and tutor in various educational programs. Jordi holds multiple degrees from Universitat de Barcelona, including a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, alongside a Master’s degree in Innovation Management from the same institution and further studies in social impact strategy and technology transfer.
