Laura Bonilla is an experienced professional in Latin American political science and conflict research, currently serving as the Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean & Advocacy at Fundación Paz y Reconciliación since September 2022. With an extensive background as a researcher and consultant for Estudios en América Latina, seguridad y conflictos since 2010, Laura holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Universidad Nacional de Colombia, a Master's degree in Political Science and Government from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, and a Diploma in European Advanced Studies in Contemporary Latin America from Instituto Universitario Ortega y Gasset. Prior roles include Regional Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean at ForumCiv and Director of the Armed Conflict Observatory at Corporación Nuevo Arco Iris. Laura has developed research methodologies, managed projects, and produced publications focused on armed conflict dynamics in Colombia.
