Codey Byrne

Codey Byrne has a diverse work experience in various industries. They started their career in 2015 as an intern at Queensland Rail. In 2015, they also worked as a Tutor/Demonstrator at The University of Queensland, where they tutored courses in mathematics and engineering. They also worked as a Summer Research Student at the university during this time.

In 2017, Codey joined the Australian Government Department of Human Services as an IT Developer, specializing in SAPUI5 and Javascript. Their responsibilities included developing new applications and services using the SAPUI5 framework.

In 2019, Codey became a Software Engineer at Boeing, where they gained experience in different software practices and team management. They worked on various projects, including a Java/C++ standalone application and developing a UI testing suite for mission-critical software.

Most recently, Codey joined Funding Xchange in 2020. They started as a Software Engineer and later progressed to the role of Senior Software Engineer. In this role, they took on scrum master responsibilities, facilitating daily standups, sprint retrospectives, and planning sessions. They described their experience at Funding Xchange as challenging but rewarding, as the start-up transitioned to a scale-up.
