Gabriel Werkhaizer

Gabriel Werkhaizer's work experience begins with their most recent role as Sr. Director of Factoring Operations at FundThrough since April 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Online Experience at CI Global Asset Management from February 2020 to April 2022.

Before joining CI Global Asset Management, Gabriel worked at CIBC, where they held various positions. Gabriel was a Senior Manager of Client Connectivity & Innovation Strategy from February 2019 to February 2020. Prior to that, they served as a GLDP Associate in Digital Banking, User Experience & Innovation from August 2018 to February 2019. Gabriel also worked as a GLDP Associate in Client Connectivity & Innovation Strategy from February 2018 to August 2018 and as a GLDP Associate in Digital Payments, Payments Innovation & Integration from June 2017 to February 2018.

Prior to their time at CIBC, Gabriel worked as a Summer Associate in Global Risk Management at Scotiabank from May 2016 to August 2016.

Before their experience in the banking sector, Gabriel co-founded and served as the General Director of Simples Factoring from March 2011 to May 2015.

Additionally, Gabriel worked as the Financial and Business Director at Auto Giro from May 2012 to October 2013.

Lastly, Gabriel co-founded and was the Managing Partner of EQOOBE SRL from November 2009 to January 2012.

Gabriel Werkhaizer completed their education from 1998 to 2006 at Fundação Torino, obtaining a Technician in Administration degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management. Gabriel then pursued a Bachelor of Economics degree at Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, from 2007 to 2010. Following that, they attended SDA Bocconi from 2010 to 2013, earning a Master of Science in Management degree with a specialization in Management. Most recently, from 2015 to 2017, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Finance at McGill University.

In addition to their formal education, Gabriel Werkhaizer obtained several certifications. In January 2019, they received certification as a Certified Agile Project Manager from the University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies. Gabriel also obtained a certification in Design Thinking from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University in November 2017, and in August 2017, they acquired certification in Financial Modeling & Data Manipulation from The Marquee Group.
