Samir Chopra has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Samir started their career as a Summer Intern at International Business Machines Corporation in 2004. Following that, they worked as a Hardware Engineer at Sun Microsystems from 2005 to 2008, where they had responsibilities for IO and fetch-unit/TLB/cache logic blocks. Samir then joined Pano Logic as a Staff Hardware Engineer in 2008, where they created and maintained testing software for post-manufacture testing. In 2009, Samir joined Juniper Networks as a Hardware Verification Engineer, where they worked on block level and fullchip testing of a network routing processor. During their time at Juniper Networks, they played a lead role in the parsing and source lookup subsystem for two generations of low latency datacenter-oriented routing processors. Most recently, Samir joined Fungible, Inc. in 2017, starting as a Hardware Engineer and later transitioning into the role of Principal Engineer / Sr. Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Engineering at Fungible, Inc.
Samir Chopra obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering from Purdue University, graduating in 2003. Samir then pursued further education at Stanford University, where they earned a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering. This degree was obtained between 2003 and 2005.
