Umar Badusha

Umar Badusha has a diverse range of work experience spanning multiple industries. Umar currently holds the role of Senior Director of Hardware Engineering at Fungible, Inc. since April 2022. Prior to this, they were the Director of Hardware Engineering at the same company from December 2017 until July 2022.

Before joining Fungible, Inc., Umar worked at Juniper Networks for a significant portion of their career. Umar started as a Member Technical Staff in August 2009 and gradually advanced to become a Hardware Engineering Sr. Manager. In this role, Umar managed the hardware development of the 400G Interface Card for the PTX & Mx platforms. Umar was responsible for design architecture, critical component and vendor selection, and participated in important system meetings.

Umar also served as a Hardware Engineering Manager at Juniper Networks, where they led the development of the Next Gen. T-Series Multi-Chassis, enabling the connection of up to four T4000 or eight T1600 Chassis using a Switch Fabric Chassis. Additionally, they held the position of Member Technical Staff-MTS4.

Prior to Juniper Networks, Umar worked at Ikanos Communications as a Project Lead from February 2008 to August 2009. Umar also worked at Centillium India Pvt. LTD as a Staff Engineer from August 2004 to February 2008. Earlier in their career, Umar was a Senior Design Engineer at MindTree from September 2003 to August 2004.

Umar's career began at iWave Systems Technologies Pvt Ltd. in June 1999, where they served as a Member Technical Staff. Their responsibilities included designing multiprocessor boards based on 32-bit RISC processors and developing single board computers utilizing PowerPC processors for commercial and military-grade applications.

Umar Badusha attended Government College of Engineering, Tirunelveli from 1995 to 1999, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
