Vassili Bykov has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and industries. Vassili began their career at Interfacing Technologies in 1994 as a Senior Software Engineer. In 1997, they joined Bytesmiths as an Associate before moving to The Object People, where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Instructor. At The Object People, they specialized in TOPLink/Smalltalk development and taught courses on object-oriented analysis and design.

In 2000, Bykov joined Cincom Systems as a Lead Software Engineer, where they played a crucial role until 2007. During this time, they gained expertise in software engineering and made significant contributions to the company's projects.

Bykov then joined Cadence Design Systems in 2007, initially as a Sr. Member of Consulting Staff. Here, they played a key role in the development of Newspeak, a dynamic programming language and platform. Bykov then returned to Cadence Design Systems in 2011 as an Architect. In this role, they worked on an EDA tools platform built around a dynamic programming language. Vassili'sresponsibilities included developing the language compiler, runtime, and associated data modeling and serialization frameworks.

Most recently, Bykov joined Fungible, Inc. in 2018 as a Principal Software Engineer, where they continue to contribute their expertise and skills.

Vassili Bykov pursued their education from 1986 to 1993 at the MIPT (Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology), where they obtained an M.S. degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, and Physics. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained a certification as a Certified Usability Analyst from Human Factors International in September 2005.
