Rahul Gopal

Rahul Gopal's work experience includes being the Director of Risk and Security Strategy at Fura Gems Inc., where they oversaw risk and security aspects for mining locations in Colombia, Australia, and Mozambique. Rahul also managed the Global Command Centre in Dubai and handled the preparation and maintenance of group-wide risk matrix, security plans, and policies. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director of Coscuez SA, where they provided strategic advice, reported results and findings to the CEO and board members, and managed resources. Before joining Fura Gems Inc., Rahul was the Head of Security at Montepuez Ruby Mining. Rahul also worked as the Manager Security at Indorama Eleme Petrochemicals Limited, where they conducted threat and vulnerability assessments, collected and analyzed intelligence inputs, and coordinated convoy movements. Rahul briefly worked as the Manager Nodal and Regulatory at Vodafone, where they provided facilities for lawful interception and maintained the security of switches and towers. Rahul's career began in the Indian Army, where they served as a Major.

Rahul Gopal obtained their EMPD degree in Business Administration from XLRI Jamshedpur in 2009. Furthermore, they obtained a certification in Human Rights - The rights of refugees from Amnesty International in October 2018.
