The Furukawa Battery Co., Ltd. is a company mainly engaged in the manufacture and sale of batteries. Along with its subsidiaries, the Company is engaged in the manufacture and sale of lead-acid storage batteries and alkaline storage batteries, as well as power equipment, such as commutators and others. Through its subsidiaries, the Company is also involved in the installation and inspection of batteries and power equipment, the provision of packaging, delivery and in-yard transportation services, as well as the provision of loans. As of March 31, 2014, the Company had 12 consolidated subsidiaries, five non-consolidated subsidiaries and three associated companies.
