Alice Budgett

Alice Budgett has a diverse work experience spanning across various industries and roles. Alice currently works at Furze Platt Senior School, starting in 2020, where they hold the position of Head of Modern Foreign Languages. Prior to this role, they worked at Cox Green School from 2017 to 2020 as an MFL Teacher and Head of Year.

Before entering the education field, Alice gained experience in the communications industry as a Client Executive at JPES Partners Limited in 2016. Alice was responsible for providing strategic marketing and communications support to clients in the investment industry.

Alice also has experience in the field of marketing, having undertaken a marketing internship at Clínica Universidad de Navarra in 2014. Additionally, they worked as an English Teaching Assistant at Education Nationale Académie Amiens from 2013 to 2014.

Other work experiences include positions such as a Receptionist at Mare de Deu Hotel in 2013, a Course Assistant at Cambridge Language and Activities Courses in 2012, and a Volunteer at Voluntario Global in 2010.

Alice also gained valuable work experience through a short-term work placement at the British Embassy in Oman in 2010 and as a Volunteer at the British Heart Foundation from 2007 to 2009.

Alice Budgett attended Durham University from 2011 to 2015, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages, with a focus on French and Spanish. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a postgraduate degree at the University of Oxford from 2016 to 2017. Here, they completed a Modern Languages Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), specializing in French and Spanish. Alice further expanded their education at the University of Oxford from 2018 to 2020, where they earned a Master's degree in Learning and Teaching, with a specific focus on the field.
