Ariel Altman

Ariel Altman is an accomplished professional in the visual effects industry, currently serving as Head of Creative - NY and Senior VFX Supervisor at FuseFX since August 2014. With extensive experience, Ariel held the position of Lead Compositor at 1st Avenue Machine from July 2012 to August 2014 and worked as a freelance visual effects artist from March 2010 to November 2012 under the name Ariel Altman | Visual Effects. The career began as a Visual Effects Artist at Headlight Design and Visual Effects from February 2005 to March 2010, following an earlier role as Assistant Designer and Flame Assistant at Sideshow Creative from August 2004 to January 2005. Ariel's entry into the industry included a brief stint as an MCR Operator and Graphics Assistant at 89 edit in mid-2004. Academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Electronic Media, Arts and Communication from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Arts in Media Studies from the Maryland Institute College of Art and The New School for General Studies.
