District Vice President Of Operations, Southeast at Fusion Academy

Kristen Raymond, Ed.D has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and educational institutions. Kristen currently serves as the District Vice President for Fusion Academy's Mid-Atlantic region, a position they have held since July 2023. Prior to this, from March 2019 to July 2023, they were the Head of School at Fusion Academy.

Before joining Fusion Academy, Kristen worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of West Georgia starting in 2007. Kristen'sresponsibilities included teaching courses on educational assessment and introductory education assessment for new and continuing education teachers. Additionally, from 2007 to 2015, they taught English courses, helping students enhance their writing skills, critical thinking abilities, and self-reflection.

Kristen also has experience in the Muscogee County School District. From June 2018 to March 2019, they served as the Director of Professional Learning. Before that, from May 2017 to June 2018, they were the Director of the Georgia Teacher Academy for Preparation and Pedagogy. Kristen'searlier role in the district was as an English Teacher from July 2016 to May 2017.

Prior to their time in the Muscogee County School District, Kristen was an Assistant Principal at Central Carroll Middle School from July 2015 to July 2016. Kristen also worked at Central Carroll High School as the In-School Coordinator for Special Education from July 2012 to July 2015. Kristen'scareer in education began at Bowdon High School, where they taught English from July 2005 to July 2012.

Kristen Raymond, Ed.D has a strong educational background. Kristen obtained their Doctor of Education (EdD) degree in School Improvement from the University of West Georgia, where they studied from 2009 to 2015. Prior to that, they completed their Master of Education (MEd) degree in English/Language Arts Teacher Education from the same university from 2006 to 2008. In 2000, Kristen Raymond earned their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English from the University of West Georgia. Kristen completed their high school education at Central Gwinnett High School.
