Joshua O'Bannon has had a long and varied career. Joshua began their professional journey in 2007 as an Americorp/LVC Refugee Resettlement Case Manager for Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. In 2010, they moved to US Bank as an Outbound Sales Representative. In 2011, they became an Inside Sales Representative at Freightquote. In 2012, they joined Tornier USA as a Customer Service Representative. In 2014, they moved to Wright Medical as an Agent Services Representative. In 2016, they joined GE Healthcare as an Account Coordinator - Customer Services. In 2019, they enrolled in the Turing School of Software & Design as a Back End Engineering Student. In 2020, they joined Bang Equals Development as a Software Engineer where they improved user facing interfaces using SASS, Javascript, and Ruby, implemented features, chores and bug fixes for journalism client improving ability to filter data and prioritize workload, and constructed a landing page for a 2020 voting initiative. In 2021, they joined FusionAuth as an Engineering Support Team Lead and Support Engineer.

Joshua O'Bannon obtained a Bachelor of Arts from Hastings College between 2003 and 2007. Joshua then attended the Turing School of Software & Design from 2019 to 2020, where they earned a Software Development degree with a focus on Backend Engineering. Joshua also obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2020.
