Jim Cott has had a long and varied career in the financial services industry. In 1998, they began as a Full Trader at Fidelity Investments. In 1999, they moved to The InvestIN Group as Head Analyst/Operations Manager SROP CROP, where they developed and implemented an ongoing profitable business plan and setup trading centers in multiple countries. In 2008, they held two positions: Business Consultant at Voyager Expanded Learning and Chief Operations Officer at Scottsdale Capital Advisors, where they supervised business activities for 34 registered investment and insurance brokers and reviewed, revised, and refined firm processes and policies to ensure industry compliance. In 2009, they moved to Penson Financial Services as Director of Relationship Management and Relationship Manager. From 2012 to 2017, they worked at Apex Clearing Corporation, first as Vice President of Finance and then as Director of Financial Planning and Analysis. Finally, in 2021, they began their current role as Chief Financial Officer for FusionIQ, a next generation digital trading platform.
Jim Cott has a long and varied educational history. Jim attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1993 to 1995, where they studied Systems Engineering and Mathematics. Jim then attended West Virginia University from 1995 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance, General. Finally, they attended Southern Methodist University - Cox School of Business from 2003 to 2006, where they earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Strategy.
