Álvaro Soares

Álvaro Soares is an experienced youth football coach currently serving as the U8 Head Coach and U11 Assistant Coach at FC Porto since September 2019. Throughout the coaching tenure at FC Porto, Álvaro has held various positions, including U8 Head Coach and U13 Assistant Coach, U7 Head Coach and U13 Assistant Coach, as well as U10 and U14 Assistant Coach. Prior to this, Álvaro contributed as an U15B Assistant Coach and U8 Head Coach at Dragon Force Foz. In addition to coaching, Álvaro worked as a Project Manager at studium . creative studio, where responsibilities included managing key stakeholder relationships and project communications. Álvaro's earlier experience as a Department Manager at AKI involved overseeing multiple departments and team operations. This background followed a trainee role at AKI and a five-month internship at Bi-silque, focusing on production process improvements. Álvaro holds a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering - Production Management from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, attained between 2010 and 2016.
