Ben Samild is the Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Strategy at Future Fund. Ben has over 20 years of experience in the financial industry.

Ben started their career as a Research Fellow at the University of Melbourne, where they conducted behavioural finance research. Ben then joined Elysium Inc. as a scientist, heading up their financial research and trading/production departments. In 2009, they were recruited by LUCRF Super to be their Head of Investment Strategy. In this role, they were responsible for asset allocation, manager decision-making, macro analysis, performance analysis, communication, marketing and education.

In 2013, Ben Samild joined Future Fund as their Deputy Chief Investment Officer, Portfolio Strategy. In this role, they are responsible for leading the team that sets the investment strategy for the organisation. This includes asset allocation, manager selection and monitoring, performance measurement and reporting.

Ben Samild has a Master's degree in Applied Finance from Finsia. Ben also has a degree in comm/arts with a focus in psychology, history, and management from the University of Melbourne.

Their manager is Raphael Arndt, CEO. They work with Gordon Mckellar - Chief Operating Officer, Will Hetherton - Head of Corporate Affairs, and Cameron Price - General Counsel & Chief Risk Officer.
