Niels Maartens

Niels Maartens has extensive work experience in finance and strategy roles. Niels is currently the Head of Academy at Future Fund since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Strategy Officer at YBF Ventures from 2017 to 2021. At YBF Ventures, they played a key role in establishing innovation centers and fostering an innovative community. Before that, they were the Chief Financial Officer at Nimble Australia Pty Ltd in 2016-2017, where they focused on disrupting the finance industry. Niels also held the position of Head of Finance and Corporate Functions at Coles from 2014 to 2016, where they supported customer growth and established strong governance. Additionally, they have worked at GE in various senior roles from 2000 to 2014, including Finance & Operations Director for GE Capital Australia.

Niels Maartens completed their Msc in Business Studies at Maastricht University from 1994 to 1999.
