Riley Harris is an experienced educator and researcher currently serving as a tutor at the University of Oxford since October 2024, where courses taught include Practical Ethics. Riley is also the founder and writer at Million Year View since August 2022 and has held the role of researcher at Future Impact Group since February 2024. Previous roles include research assistant positions at the Global Priorities Institute from January 2022 to March 2024 and Longview Philanthropy from January to September 2023, as well as serving as a Mexico Fellow at Effective Altruism Mexico for a brief period in 2022. Additional experience includes participation in the Epistea Autumn Residency in 2022, a campus visitor role at The Australian National University, and significant leadership roles at Effective Altruism Adelaide from 2016 to 2021. Academically, Riley holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from the University of Oxford, a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) from the University of Adelaide, and a Bachelor's degree in Economics with a specialization in Behavioral Economics, Microeconomics, and Game Theory, along with a semester exchange at Maastricht University.
