Rick Klooster

Rick Klooster is a seasoned professional in the field of spatial development and data management, currently serving as a Member of the Regulatory Room Steering Committee at buildingSMART International since April 2022, focusing on the integration of openBIM practices. As the Founder and Technical Director of Future Insight BV since April 2014, Rick Klooster aims to enhance the effectiveness of project organizations by leveraging advanced technology and optimizing collaboration. Prior experience includes founding Monkeypod Academy BV, serving as Advisor for Data Management at Antea Group, and leading activities within the Dutch 3D Pilot, where Rick Klooster contributed significantly to 3D developments in the Netherlands. Earlier roles at the City of Apeldoorn and the City of Eindhoven involved coordinating visualization teams and advising on 3D initiatives. Rick Klooster holds a Bachelor's degree in Geodesy from HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
