Jon Steinberg has an extensive background in the media and technology industries. Jon currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of Future, a position they have held since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Advisor at The Raine Group from November 2022 to March 2023. From 2019 to 2022, Steinberg held various roles at Altice USA, including Senior Advisor, President Altice News and Advertising, and President of News. Before that, they founded and served as the CEO of Cheddar Inc. from January 2016 to April 2022. Steinberg also held positions as a Board Member at Bustle Digital Group from January 2016 to February 2019 and as a Contributor at CNBC from November 2013 to January 2016, where they focused on tech, media, and internet stocks. In addition, they served as the CEO, North America at MailOnline from June 2014 to December 2015 and as the President and Chief Operating Officer at BuzzFeed from July 2012 to June 2014. Prior to that, Steinberg worked as the Strategic Partner Development Manager, Local Markets at Google from October 2007 to October 2009 and as an Executive in Residence at Polaris Venture Partners from October 2009 to May 2010. Overall, Jon Steinberg has held various leadership and advisory roles in prominent media and technology companies throughout their career.
Jon Steinberg attended Collegiate School from 1988 to 1995, where they earned their High School Degree with a focus on Grammar-High School. Jon then went on to pursue higher education, graduating from Princeton University in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public and International Affairs. Jon furthered their education at Columbia Business School from 2001 to 2003, obtaining a Master's in Business Administration (MBA).
