Maria Hanafy

Maria Hanafy's work experience includes various roles in the media and production industry. Maria started their career as a Screen Test Director & Production Assistant at Gonna Be Productions in 2008. Maria then worked as an Event Manager and Event Assistant at Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. From 2007 to 2008, they were a Promotion Team Intern at KBCW, where they produced, edited, and wrote content for on-air promotions. In 2008, they interned as a Spark* Series Production Intern at KQED, assisting with research tasks and preparing materials for postproduction. Maria was also a Development Intern for the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences at the Wolper Organization/Warner Brothers, where they reviewed and edited project treatments. Maria worked as a Casting Manager at Talent6 from 2008 to 2010 and was responsible for managing online accounts, marketing, and developing the company's website. Maria then joined Publicis & Hal Riney as an Associate Producer, supporting radio and video production for various clients. From 2012 to 2013, Maria worked as an Associate Producer at Acme Posts/B Hamady Productions, overseeing pre-production and postproduction processes for video productions. Maria joined Animated Storyboards in 2013 and held multiple roles, including Producer, Senior Producer, and Managing Director / Supervising Executive Producer. Maria's most recent position is Managing Director at FutureDeluxe, a role they started in 2023.

Maria Hanafy completed their Bachelor of Arts in Radio and Television from San Francisco State University, with a minor in Sociology, between 2003 and 2008.
