Laura Taylor

Laura Taylor has over 20 years of work experience in the finance sector. Laura began their career in 1999 as an Assistant Manager at Deloitte, where they gained experience in several industry sectors. In 2003, they moved to Xaar as a Financial Controller. In 2009, they joined Abcam as an Investor Relations Manager & Deputy Company Secretary, where they were responsible for developing the IR strategy, leading and managing the IR programme, and serving as a key company spokesperson. In 2015, they became the CFO at Congenica, where they formalised the finance function from scratch and raised over £10m in Series B funding. In 2018, they moved to Cambridge Nutraceuticals Ltd as CFO, where they were responsible for financial stewardship, team management, external stakeholder relationship management and being a critical member of the Board. In 2020, they founded Managing Myself.

Laura Taylor is currently certified as a Full Focus Planner Certified Pro by Full Focus. Prior to this, they obtained a Certificate in Investor Relations from the Investor Relations Society in 2015. From 1999 to 2002, they obtained their FCA from ICAEW. Laura also holds a BSc in Human Cybernetics from the University of Reading, which they obtained from 1996 to 1999.
