Karen M.

Karen M. has extensive work experience in various roles in the field of accounting and finance. Karen was a CFO, COO, and CPA at The Frances Xavier Warde School from April 2020 to the present. Prior to that, they held the same roles at Shorecrest Preparatory School from November 2008 to April 2020. Karen also had their own business, where they served as the Business Owner, from November 1997 to November 2008. In addition, they worked as an Accounting Controller at Tampa General Hospital from 1992 to 1997. Before that, they were an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton LLP from 1987 to 1992, and an Audit Supervisor at EY from 1982 to 1987.

Karen M. completed their high school education at Oak Ridge High School from 1976 to 1978, focusing on science and math. Following that, they attended the University of Tennessee, Knoxville from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting.

Karen also has additional certifications to complement their education. In 1991, Karen successfully completed the Leadership St. Pete program offered by the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, in June 2014, they became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed by the State of Florida.
