Amir Bonakdar

Amir Bonakdar, PhD, PE, currently holds the position of Structural Engineer and Business Development Manager at FyfeFRP, LLC since November 2022. Prior experience includes roles at The Euclid Chemical Company from June 2013 to November 2022, where Amir served as Manager of the Western Region, Engineering Manager for Fiber Reinforced Concrete, and Fiber Product Manager. Amir's responsibilities encompassed technical support, engineering marketing, and education on macro and micro fibers in concrete. At Arizona State University, from 2006 to May 2013, Amir was a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Structures Lab Supervisor, focusing on research proposals, e-learning course development, and teaching various civil engineering subjects. Additional experience includes serving as a Disaster Recovery Coordinator for the Arizona Department of Emergency and positions at the Construction Materials Institute. Education includes a PhD in Civil, Environmental and Sustainable Engineering, an MSc in Structural Engineering, and a BSc in Civil Engineering, all culminating from institutions in Arizona and Tehran.
