Jeroen Stiers

Jeroen Stiers is an experienced professional in the fields of geography, environmental initiatives, and education. Currently serving as a Nature Investor at Planet Wild since July 2024, Jeroen contributes to crowdfunding efforts for environmental projects that enhance biodiversity and support ecosystems. With a tenure at GIM - smart geo insights since August 2015, Jeroen holds dual roles as the Product Owner of Belmap & Solutions Architect and Geodata Engineer, focusing on data validation automation and mentoring colleagues. Previously, Jeroen worked at KU Leuven, conducting workshops on geo-ICT for schools and guiding students in programming. Additional educational roles include teaching geography in secondary education and leadership positions within Merkator Leuven vzw. Jeroen's academic background includes a Master's degree in Geography and a Bachelor's degree in Geography with a minor in Computer Science.
