Iván Darío Gómez Rincón

Iván Darío Gómez Rincón has a diverse and extensive work experience in various companies. Iván Darío started their career in 2011 as a Business Analyst at Enel Colombia, where they worked until 2014. Iván Darío then joined EY, where they held multiple roles from 2014 to 2019, starting as a Consultant and progressing to Senior I, Senior II, and eventually Senior III in Enterprise Intelligence and Data Analytics. At EY, they focused on designing and implementing Data Warehouse and Big Data solutions, developing machine learning models, and managing client relationships.

In 2019, Iván joined Telefonica as an Expert Data Architecture and Product Owner, leading projects related to Big Data Solutions. Iván Darío was also responsible for redesigning churn model workflows and expanding the Big Data HDP 2.5 cluster.

Later that year, Iván moved to Rappi, where they served as a Business Intelligence Manager. In this role, they facilitated data-based decision making and implemented Big Data and Data Warehouse solutions. Iván Darío also played a key role in automating pipelines and developing the company's cross-sectional BI area.

In 2020, Iván briefly worked at Fondo Latinoamericano de Reservas as an Analytics Architect and Project Lead before joining Liberty Latin America. Currently, they hold the position of Director Data Science and Engineering, leading teams in delivering data-driven and machine learning solutions to markets in Latin America and The Caribbean.

Prior to their current role, Iván served as Senior Manager of Data Engineering & MLOps and Data Engineering Manager at Liberty Latin America, where their focus was on integrating and deploying data analytics solutions at scale.

Iván Darío Gómez Rincón completed a Master's degree in Data Analytics and Data Science from the Universidad de Los Andes in 2019. In 2013, they graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Fundación Universitaria San Martín. In 2020, they pursued studies in Artificial Intelligence Strategy at the UC Berkeley School of Information. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including AWS Cloud Practitioner from Amazon, Smart Analytics, Machine Learning, and AI on GCP from Coursera, and EY Analytics - Data integration - Bronze from the EY Academy of Business.
