Matthew Hammond

Matthew Hammond has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Matthew currently holds the position of Operations Director, Office of the CTO at G-Research, a role they took on in April 2022. Prior to that, they served as Chief of Staff, Research at G-Research for over five years.

Before joining G-Research, Matthew worked at Morgan Stanley for a significant period. From 2013 to 2016, they held the role of Executive Director, Portfolio Governance Lead. During this time, they were responsible for managing the annual portfolio budgeting process for a $60M organization and implemented a project management office that transformed project management discipline. From 2010 to 2013, Matthew served as Vice President, PMO Lead OTC Technology, where they built a PMO practice from scratch and played a key role in defining organizational controls and standards.

Matthew's journey at Morgan Stanley began in 1999, where they had various roles including Associate, Project Manager, Equity Derivatives Technology, Associate Business Analyst, and Associate, Cross Platform Analyst/Developer.

Matthew'searlier experiences include working as an Analyst/Programmer at RBS Trust Bank from 1998 to 1999 and as a Management Information Analyst at Legal & General in 1998.

Matthew Hammond received their Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (European) degree in Law with French Law from the University of Exeter, where they studied from 1993 to 1997.
