Dietrich Van der Weken is a seasoned professional in management and program development, currently serving as General Manager of G-STIC since January 2017 and holding a concurrent position as General Manager at VITO. With extensive experience as a Program Manager at MIP - i-Cleantech Vlaanderen and in policy advisory roles for the Flemish Government, Dietrich has a strong background in economics, science, and innovation. Previous roles include Senior Researcher at VRT and Postdoctoral Researcher at Ghent University, where Dietrich earned a PhD in Mathematics. Educational achievements include a Master's degree in Mathematics from Ghent University and a formative education at Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege Antwerpen.
