Gitika Gorthi

New York State Chair In USA at G100: Mission Million

Gitika Gorthi is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of IgnitedThinkers, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting space education among students globally since its inception in the 8th grade. Currently serving as a student researcher at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, Gitika Gorthi investigates gastrointestinal carcinogenesis at the Timothy C. Wang Laboratory and previously studied cerebellum-related ataxia/tremor in the Kuo Laboratory. Gitika Gorthi also contributes as a research intern at 34 Lives, focusing on innovative kidney transplant solutions, and holds the position of Alumni Board Member for the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation. In addition, Gitika Gorthi is the New York State Chair for G100: Mission Million and has interned at prestigious institutions like the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Harvard Medical School. Gitika Gorthi's academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering and Economics from Columbia University, alongside advanced academic achievements from Chantilly High School and Northern Virginia Community College.
