Yuriy Shpek

Yuriy Shpek is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas sector. Currently serving as a Board Member at G500 since June 2022, Yuriy has been part of the Glencore finance team since May 2011, focusing on structured financing including project, leverage, acquisition, convertible, and reserve-based lending. Prior experience includes the role of Associate Director in Commodity Finance EMEA at WestLB from 2005 to April 2011 and an Associate position in Asset Securitisation at Commerzbank AG for a brief period in 2005. Yuriy began a career in finance as an Analyst at InWent from March 2002 to November 2002 and holds a degree from United Business Institutes, where studies took place from 2000 to 2004.
