Alen Peacock has a diverse range of work experience spanning over 17 years. Alen co-founded and developed initial technology for Space Monkey, Inc. and raised funding for it. Alen was also a Co-founder and Sultan of Product and Engineering for Stretch before leaving in December 2020. At Gabb, they helped advise strategy for adding healthy & kid-safe cloud services to the company's product offerings and is currently helping run engineering for core product groups within the company as the Director Cloud & SVP Product Engineering. Alen was Vice President, Video Engineering & Recon at Vivint Smart Home where they ran engineering teams focused on delivering new video hardware, firmware, and architectures. In addition, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Mozy, Inc. and a Software Engineer at Novell, Inc. giving him experience in developing backend distributed systems for a petabyte-scale storage system, designing migration tools for customers moving from NetWare to Linux, among other tasks. Alen is also an Adjunct Professor at Brigham Young University where they taught a course on starting and running a technology startup.
Alen Peacock has a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from Brigham Young University, which they obtained between 1995 and 1998. Alen then pursued a Master of Science in Computer Science degree at the same university from 1998 to 2001. In 2003, they attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Special Student and focused on Graduate Level Computer Science studies for a year.
