Derek Medved

Derek Medved is an experienced water resources engineer currently serving as the Assistant Technical Leader-Project Manager at GAI Consultants, Inc. since July 2004, where expertise is focused on supporting public and private clients in the Energy, Industry, and Transportation sectors. Previously, Derek worked as a Project Engineer in Training at Youchak & Youchak, Inc., contributing to municipal solid waste landfill design and permitting in Pennsylvania from August 1998 to July 2004. Earlier experience includes a field inspector internship with PennDOT District 11-0, where responsibilities involved overseeing roadway improvement projects in the Pittsburgh area during the summer of 1996. Derek holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Highway Design and Transportation from Penn State University, earned between 1994 and 1998.
