John R Haliburton

John R Haliburton has a long and distinguished career in the biotechnology field. John R began their career in 2006 as a Research Associate at the Lawerence Berkeley National Lab. In 2010, they moved to LS9, Inc. where they were a Senior Research Associate. In 2011, they became a Graduate Student at UCSF Biophysics. In 2017, they were promoted to Principal Scientist at Augmenta Bioworks. In 2019, they were hired as Platform Leader - Single Cell Genomics at CZ Biohub. In 2021, they became a Consultant (Single-cell Technologies) at 1982 and Proteogenomics Lead - Product and Tech Development at Scale Biosciences. Most recently, in 2022, they were hired as Head of Synthetic Biology at Prolific Machines Inc.

John R Haliburton received their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Texas A&M University between 2000 and 2005. John R then went on to obtain their Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Biophysics from the University of California, San Francisco between 2011 and 2016.
