Ed Lazar

Ed Lazar serves as the President and CEO of The Ed Lazar Agency, a State Farm Insurance Companies affiliate, focusing on personalized insurance and financial services in Grosse Pointe since November 1982. In addition, Ed holds the position of Advisory Board Chairman at Gaiamer Biotechnologies, Inc. since October 2020, providing strategic guidance in business and executive coaching. As the Head Cross Country Coach for Grosse Pointe Public School System since August 2019, Ed initiated a middle school cross country program that engaged 95 students. Ed also leads ESSENTIAL Team Advisors, LLC as President and CEO, specializing in advisory services for both profit and non-profit organizations. Moreover, Ed is a Board Member and Co-Chair of the Patriot Initiative Committee at The War Memorial, advocating for veterans and first responders. Previously, Ed contributed as Head Men's Track and Field Coach at Grosse Pointe North High School from December 2019 to January 2023 and holds a BA in English and Psychology from Wayne State University.
