Dr Rama Srinivasan Velmurugan

Dr. Rama Srinivasan Velmurugan has extensive experience in the petrochemical and chemical industries, having served as General Manager at GAIL (India) Limited since June 1996. Key responsibilities include the erection, commissioning, and maintenance of a polymer plant (LLDPE) licensed by Nova Chemicals and acting as the maintenance in charge for the Gas Processing Plant. Prior to GAIL, Dr. Velmurugan worked as a Maintenance Engineer at Shasun Chemicals and Drugs Limited, focusing on the maintenance of chemical plants and the erection and commissioning of an NMSM automation project. Dr. Velmurugan holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, a Master of Business Administration in Operations Research from Indira Gandhi National Open University, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Management (Operations) from UPES.
