John Faithorn

John Faithorn has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. John currently holds the position of Senior Software Engineer at Gain Compliance, a role they have been in since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Tesla as a Senior UX Software Engineer, where they were responsible for building UI components and developing an NPM package for SVG icons.

From 2020 to 2021, John worked as a Senior User Experience Engineer at Seclytics. In this role, they updated dashboard views, collected customer feedback, and revamped the application's build pipeline to include TypeScript, SASS, and Webpack.

Before Seclytics, John served as a User Experience Engineer at Google from 2019 to 2020. During their time there, they developed prototypes, contributed production UI components, and served as an engineer-owner for the development of an Adobe Premiere Plugin.

From 2015 to 2019, John worked at Future plc as a Front End Developer and Designer. In these roles, they ensured smooth deployments of custom advertising solutions, created wireframes and mockups, and supported the integration of brand acquisitions.

John's career began at Walt Disney Internet Group in 2008, where they worked as a Designer and Creative Services Intern. During this time, they participated in brainstorming sessions, built interactive custom content, and coordinated with technology and analytics teams.

Lastly, in 2002, John worked as a Teacher's Assistant and Beta Tester at Lynda.com, where they provided course support and feedback for software training videos.

John Faithorn attended UC Santa Barbara and earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Business Economics in 2008. In 2016, they enrolled in UC San Diego Extended Studies and obtained a Certificate in User Experience Design in 2017.
