Aida Delgado

Researcher at Gain Therapeutics

Aida Delgado has worked in the field of research since 2007. Aida began their career as a Research Collaborator at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where they prepared soil samples for the analysis of heavy metals in the Sensors i Biosensors group of Professor Dr. Julian Alonso Chamarro. In 2012, they became an Assistant Researcher at the University of Barcelona, where they were part of the Computational Biology and Drug Design Group in the Department of Physical Chemistry of the Faculty of Pharmacy. Aida collaborated with Minoryx Therapeutics to identify active compounds with potential therapeutic use in the field of rare diseases, particularly pharmacological chaperones. Aida was also responsible for the purchase, reception, quality control and organization of chemical compounds (maintenance of a chemotheca) and the performance of bio-physical tests. In 2018, they joined Gain Therapeutics as a Researcher.

Aida Delgado has obtained a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 2010, followed by a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from the Universitat de Barcelona in 2012. In 2016, they completed a Diploma in Medical Genetics from the University of Valencia and a Master's degree in Bioinformatics and Biostatistics from the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya.
