GAINESVILLE FIRE RESCUE
Jessica M. is an experienced Firefighter/EMT currently serving with Gainesville Fire Rescue since March 2022, following a tenure with Alachua County Fire Rescue from December 2020 to February 2022. Prior to entering the fire service, Jessica worked as a Paralegal at the Law Offices of Edwards & Jones for four years, specializing in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research. Additional experience includes roles as Events Coordinator at St. Francis Pet Care Clinic, Paralegal at the Law Office of Alba & Yochim P.A., and Sales Associate at Blockers Furniture, highlighting strong customer service and communication skills. Educational credentials include a Vocational Certificate in Emergency Medical Technician from Santa Fe College and an Associate of Arts in Nursing from the same institution, complemented by training at Florida State Fire College and Virginia Tech.

We currently operate eight fire stations with advanced life support and one airport fire station that operates with basic life support. We have 200 full time budgeted positions and run an approx 20,000 emergency calls per year.
