Marie Balak

Marie Balak is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in fire rescue and education. Currently serving as a Lieutenant, Driver/Operator, and Firefighter at Gainesville Fire Rescue since May 2015, Marie has developed a strong background in emergency services. Prior experience includes a role as a Mathematics Teacher at Orange County Public Schools, focusing on improving math skills for underperforming students, and as an Instructor for colorguard at Freedom High School. Additionally, Marie worked as an Account Executive, Account Coordinator, and Intern at Vantage Communications. Marie holds a Master of Arts in Security Studies from the Naval Postgraduate School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in General Business from Stetson University.
